More than 300 profiles of the participants of the Great Patriotic War were collected in Moscow for the all-Russian action “The Road of Memory”, the Moscow city news agency reports.

The “Road of Memory” portal is a resource that is constantly updated with new photographs of war heroes. It was launched by the Ministry of Defense in honour of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. The project brings together more than 27 million photos and recordings which will be presented in the future in the form of a monument. A special gallery with a length of 1,418 steps symbolizes the number of days and nights of World War II.
