Over 40.5 thousand Muscovites who lost their jobs and applied for help have already received additional payments to the allowance established by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the official website of the Mayor reports.
The Mayor of the city introduced a regional compensation payment for those who recently lost their jobs if this was caused by the spread of the coronavirus infection. Together with the federal unemployment benefit, the payment is 19,500 rubles.
Currently, the employment centres work in a remote format, Muscovites have access to job database, retraining courses, as well as the possibility of applying for increased unemployment benefits. It is noted that at the moment in Moscow there are about 128 thousand unemployed who have asked for help.
