More than 5.5 thousand families in Russia will receive housing certificates in 2021, according to the press service of the Russian government.
It is noted that housing certificates give the right to purchase housing at the expense of the federal budget. Certain categories of citizens can count on such support, including Chernobyl victims, citizens moving from Baikonur and regions of the Far North, as well as military personnel, employees of the internal affairs bodies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the order, all housing certificates must be issued by the end of March 2021. In total, about 14.7 billion rubles will be allocated for this support measure this year. The solution will help thousands of families to move to settlements equipped with all the necessary social infrastructure, or to get more comfortable flats in the cities where they already live.
A resolution was also approved, which will allow placing funds for the repayment of military mortgages in escrow accounts, which protects equity holders from the risks of fraud or developer bankruptcy. In addition, as part of the military mortgage programme, the state transfers funds to the serviceman’s account in the savings-investment system for payments on a housing loan (up to 20 years). The money can be spent on purchasing a flat or a private house.
