More than 800 tonnes of humanitarian aid were collected in the Moscow region for residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, according to the press service of the governor and the government of the Moscow region.
“In total, more than 800 tonnes of humanitarian cargo have already been collected in the Moscow region for the residents of Donbass. The aid is sent to the temporary detention centers of the region, Rostov and Donbass,” the message says.
As noted in the article, on Tuesday, the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov visited the collection point of humanitarian aid for residents of Donbass in the “Youth Center” in Krasnogorsk and handed over baby food.
“Children bring toys, some of them are their favorites. Schoolchildren, students, write letters to the military and residents with words of support. Active people organize a collection of help among friends, acquaintances, at enterprises. I want to thank everyone for this work. We will also make our contribution today,” Vorobyov said.
The press service noted that by now, about 10 thousand people from the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics have arrived in the Moscow region for temporary residence. Most of them are staying with relatives and acquaintances, about 1.3 thousand are in temporary accommodation in children’s summer camps and health centers.
