For the Defender of the Fatherland Day, men should be presented with strong, aged wines, according to the experts from the Federal Quality Control Service (Roskachestvo). Such wines include liqueur, Kagor, port, Madeira, and sherry.
According to the research, most of the liqueur wines are produced on the Crimean Peninsula, as well as in Southern Dagestan and Krasnodar Territory. The first and second places in the rating of experts were given to “Derbend Gold” and “Derbend Samur” wines, which were produced by the Derbent factory (Dagestan). The third place was taken by the Kagor of the “Fanagoria” company (Krasnodar). The fourth was “Solnechnaya Dolina” (Crimea) and the fifth was “Derbend” (Dagestan).
It is noted that despite the high quality, the cost of wines is within one thousand rubles per 0.75 litres. It is noted that some of the wines were purchased for prices even below 700 rubles. It is clarified that at the moment dry wines are more popular, as they are easier to combine with the principles of a healthy lifestyle. When choosing a wine, experts advised paying attention to the counter-label, where rating domestic wines have the indication of “protected geographical indication (PGI) liqueur”.
