More than 700 thousand stories of Soviet soldiers, officers, and partisans are uploaded to the site “Memory Road”. Residents of different Russian regions can leave information and photographs of their relatives, who were participants in the Great Patriotic War.
The data will be included in a single database, by the Great Victory Day. These materials will become part of the multimedia gallery in the Patriot Park near Moscow. Unique photographs of war veterans, their letters to relatives, and medals will be in the public domain.
Almost 700 thousand stories of Soviet soldiers, officers, and partisans are now loaded. The action lasts several days, during which 10 questionnaires have already been collected. Then staff scan photos, upload them to the site, send back to the addressee of the letter, as in many families this is the only thing left in memory of the heroes.
