Robot-Guide Invites Samara Residents for Excursions

A Russian robot from the Skolkovo resident company has started working in the multimedia historical park “Russia – My History” in Samara, TASS reports with reference to the Development Director of the ‘Promobot’ company Oleg Kivokurtsev.

It is noted that the robot performs the functions of a consulting guide telling visitors about the history of Russia and the city of Samara, as well as helping them to build a route through the museum. Interestingly, the robot can even answer visitors ‘questions and broadcast photo and video materials.

According to the developers, the robot can solve the problem of the safety of guides during the pandemic, improve the quality of service and excursions, and increase the flow of visitors. At the same time, the robot can conduct excursions among foreign guests of the city, as it is capable of answering questions not only in Russian but also in English, Chinese, Turkish, and Arabic.
