In Russia, for the first time, a private company was allowed to develop a rocket commissioned by Roscosmos, according to the document published on the procurement website. It is planned to spend 407 million rubles on the preliminary design of the apparatus.
It is specified that the Amur two-stage medium-class missile will have a reusable first stage. From the Vostochny cosmodrome, the facility will be able to launch cargoes from 9.5 to 12 tonnes into orbit. The launch complex for the rocket should provide 15 launches per year. It is noted that the enterprise will start developing the Amur-LNG methane carrier rocket with the help of the Progress Rocket and Space Center and the Khrunichev State Research Centre.
