The Roscosmos State Space Corporation’s CEO, Dmitry Rogozin, came up with the idea of creating a Eurasian Space Agency when he was taking part in the First Business Forum of the Eurasian Economic Union ‘Space Integration’.
He pointed to the European Space Agency, which, in his opinion, united many countries, despite the fact that only Germany, France, Italy, and Spain have large space capacities. According to the head of Roscosmos, the industrial production of different states of the former USSR has been halted for a long time. The main representatives of the space industry in Asia are Russia, China, Japan, and India.
It is explained that the ‘Space Integration’ Business Forum takes place in the city of Moscow and discusses issues of digitalization of the rocket and space industry in the EAEU space, prospects for industrial cooperation, as well as the use of the results of space activities in the interests of socio-economic development of the member countries.
