The Director-General of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, invited the Space X CEO Elon Musk to his home for a cup of tea and revealed that his favourite one is a Soviet-era Indian-style tea, which also, according to Rogozin, appeared to be his grandmother’s favourite tea, Sputnik reports.

The “tea” conversation began after Rogozin shared an article on CNN via Twitter, where he said that he is opening the doors of his home to Musk.

The invitation followed the moment Rogozin was watching as billionaires, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson, blasted into space aboard vehicles they helped fund. Russian chief wished domestic oligarchs would follow the example.
“Our millionaires prefer to invest more in yachts rather than in spaceships. But maybe kids of current Russian millionaires will be much more wise creatures,” Rogozin hoped.
He also expressed admiration of the US burgeoning space tourism industry and people who spend their own money on things useful for the overall society. Moreover, Rogozin praised Musk for his high achievements in the industry.
“Mr Elon Musk realizes many of the ideas and thoughts that we wanted to realize, but did not get to because, after the breakup of the Soviet Union, our space programme halted for some time,” Rogozin stated. “We respect him as an organizer of the space industry and as an inventor, who is not afraid to take risk.”
After this moment Rogozin inviting Musk to his home in Russia “to be a guest of the family” and discuss “exploring the universe, extraterrestrial life, and how space can be used to preserve life on Earth”.
“I already set the teakettle on heat,” Rogozin said.
