The Joint Stock Company “Glavkosmos” which is a subsidiary of the “Roscosmos” state corporation has opened a section on its website with information about space tourism, TASS reports. The basic programme includes medical examination, training, flight, stay on the ISS, return, and post-flight rehabilitation.
It is noted that among the additional proposals for future tourists are a spacewalk, a flight lasting up to 30 days, the development and implementation of a scientific programme onboard the ISS, the development of special food, and the purchase of a manned spacecraft descent vehicle.
As the general director of Glavkosmos, Dmitry Loskutov, clarified, on the website future space tourists will be able to understand in which spaceship and rocket they will go on a space journey, what tasks will be solved in the process of their pre-flight preparation, and what they will be able to do during their stay in space.
The flight is proposed to be performed on the ‘Soyuz’ manned spacecraft which will be launched on the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. Tourists will be able to take photos from orbit and share them online.
