Roskosmos employees told who they would take to the star squad for flying to the Moon. At the moment, the acceptance of applications for participation has been completed, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
It is noted that the acceptance of the applications started on June 3, 2019, and lasted a year. In total, the Commission accepted 1,404 applications from those who would like to fly into space on an ongoing basis. It is specified that the squad will include 4 people. Obligatory conditions for all participants in the competition were the Russian citizenship, higher education in physical and mathematical, natural sciences, engineering, and flight specialities. Age should not exceed 35 years, the height is from 150 to 190 centimetres, and weight is from 50 to 90 kilogrammes. A future cosmonaut must run 1 kilometre in at least 3 minutes 30 seconds, be healthy physically, mentally, and psychologically.
