The top 10 most interesting patents for inventions of 2019 were named by Rospatent (Federal Service for Intellectual Property), including a remedy for the Ebola virus, a leak detection system in the nuclear reactor loop, as well as the Yandex algorithm that improves the accuracy of the search system, reports RIA News.
The development of the Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry and the State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology took the first place with a tool for suppressing the Ebola virus. Unlike existing analogues, this tool has low toxicity.
In second place was the catalyst for producing motor fuel from renewable plant materials. The fuel is highly environmentally friendly, as it is obtained in the first stage from raw materials of plant origin. In addition, this fuel has improved low-temperature properties, so it can be used in regions with low-temperature conditions.
The five most interesting inventions also included a means for removing protein complexes from the blood that cause the development of atherosclerosis, a complex for the provision of express assistance to people with a high risk of heart problems and a strain (microorganism) that allows you to clean the water bodies and the coastline from oil and oil products.
In the top 10 inventions of 2019, experts also included a leak detection system in the nuclear reactor loop, a system based on artificial intelligence technology that recognizes a wide range of symbols, a system based on big data technology that allows you to determine the optimal installation location for a cash-machine, and others.
