In Rostov and Taganrog on November 20, the ceremony of awarding the laureates of the “Kindness Award” took place, 1rnd reports. The award was established almost a year ago in honour of the “most positive wheelchair user” of the Rostov region Fyodor Takhtamyshev. The main goal of the award was a public recognition of the work of people and organizations who change the lives of others for the better.
It is noted that in the “Creativity for Good” nomination, awards are given for charitable and socially significant events, projects, festivals, and cultural initiatives. For example, one of the winners in the nomination is the project “This Is My World” for children with disabilities, which allows them to develop intellectual and creative abilities with the help of arts and crafts.
The award in the “Accessible Environment” nomination is given for the creation of a comfortable and accessible living environment in a region or in a specific settlement of the region. Among the awardees is the Rostov Zoo project to create an accessible environment for people with limited mobility.
Rewarding in the category “Deed” is given for heroic deeds. This award was received by the firefighter Sergey Nochevnoy, who saved two girls from the fire, the lawyer Vitaly Medko, who provided legal assistance to a child who suffered from a medical error, the director of the medical centre Igor Simakov, who came to work at the COVID hospital, and others.
