Rostov Residents Performed Victory Song in Sign Language [Video]

Operators-dactylologists of the “Service-112” of the Rostov region sang the song “Victory Day” in sign language congratulating the children of the war who are members of the regional society of the deaf on the anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, TASS reports. 

On May 9, 2021, operators-dactylologists of the regional “Service-112” first tested the new video call service and made a Skype call to the children of war, the members of the regional society of the deaf, presenting them with a recording of the song “Victory Day” which the operators recorded on the eve of the holiday in sign language together with the Rostov branch of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf.

“At the end of 2020, the ‘Service-112’ specialists began to implement a programme for receiving a video call to 112. The necessary technical re-equipment was organized, the operators underwent the necessary training. Currently, video calls are accepted in test mode,” the Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, Vadim Artemov, said.
