The Russian VTB Bank conducted a study dedicated to World Theatre Day, which is traditionally celebrated on March 27, and found out how the demand for visiting cultural sites in the Rostov region has changed in 2021, 1rnd reports. According to the bank’s acquiring business, in the first three weeks of spring, Rostovites spent 3.3 million rubles on theatre tickets, which is twice as much as in March 2020.
It is noted that this year the demand for visiting theatres is growing every month. In March, compared to the three weeks of February, the revenue of Rostov theatres shows an increase of 13 per cent. It is specified that the average bill has remained at the level of 2019 and is about 1,000 rubles. In Russia as a whole, according to the VTB acquiring statistics, spending on theatre tickets in March 2021, exceeded 700 million rubles, which is 39 per cent more than in the same period last year.
