The heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia and Belarus, Sergey Lavrov and Vladimir Makei, signed an agreement between the two countries on the mutual recognition of visas, TASS reported.
On June 19, the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, during a telephone conversation expressed satisfaction over the completion of work on an intergovernmental agreement between the two countries on mutual recognition of visas.
It is noted that third-country nationals with a valid visa of one country will be able to freely enter, leave, and stay in the territory of another country for the duration of the visa. At the same time, travelers can cross the land border of Russia and Belarus by train, plane, or car. However, each country has the right to refuse entry to these people or to shorten their stay in their territory.
