The work on the restoration of the liberated territories of Ukraine and Donbass, the infrastructure of which was damaged during the hostilities, will be carried out in the staff mode, as stated on Friday, May 20, by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin.
“We have created a special headquarters, which includes all interested bodies,” he said.
Khusnullin added that the schedule for setting tasks for the restoration of territories is “alive”.
“We have tasks for a day, a week, a month, until the New Year. We are doing this job,” he assured.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the headquarters plan to restore all roads and destroyed housing. The second set of measures is aimed at the restoration of the economy of the affected territories. According to him, “a number of measures have been prepared in order to launch the financial system faster.”
On May 8, Khusnullin visited Mariupol, Volnovakha, Lugansk and other cities of the Donbass republics, where he also talked with locals. Later, on May 17 and 18, he made a trip to the territory of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, visiting the cities of Kherson and Melitopol.
It was also reported earlier that a column of Russian equipment consisting of 70 vehicles and about 350 specialists in infrastructure restoration arrived from Russia in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
