Russia opens borders with South Ossetia and lifts bans for some specialists on the border crossing, according to the order signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, and posted on the official website of the Cabinet.
Since September 15, Russians can freely cross the border with South Ossetia, and citizens of this republic have the right to come to the territory of Russia too. It is noted that entry into and exit from Russia is now also allowed for crew members of the sea and river vessels located in Russian ports.
It is specified that the restrictions on crossing the Russian border are removed for two groups of people. The first one is the specialists who are involved in quality control of Russian equipment in the field of nuclear power plants, and the second one is those who work with the certification of new aircraft of Russian companies.
