The Kalashnikov Concern has begun exporting the latest AK-12 assault rifle to neighbouring countries, the CEO of the concern, Dmitry Tarasov, announced on August 20, RIA News reports. At the moment, measures are being taken to adopt machine guns into service by other law enforcement agencies.

Tarasov also noted that the concern has already fulfilled its obligations for deliveries of the machine guns to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for 2020. It is specified that the AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles were developed by the Kalashnikov concern under the Ratnik programme to equip the Russian military.
