Supplies of gas and coal from the territory of the Russian Federation have begun to the Kherson region, according to the Chairman of the government of the military-civilian administration of the region Sergey Eliseev.

“We have switched to supplying gas from the territory of Russia, from the territory of Crimea. Today, we can say with confidence that the Kherson region will be provided with gas in sufficient quantities. This is especially important for us when preparing for the autumn-winter period when cold weather sets in,” he said in his video message on the telegram channel of the Regional State Administration.
According to Eliseev, 30 thousand tonnes of coal are also imported to the territory of the Kherson region.
“We will distribute it among military-civilian administrations. Undoubtedly, all boiler houses will be provided with solid fuel. The population will receive coal this year free of charge. The government of the military-civilian administration has made such a decision,” Eliseev added.
Earlier, referring to the Head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, it was reported that the republic was ready to supply electricity and gas to the Kherson region – up to 3 million cubic meters per day. In mid-September, it became known that the region was already receiving electricity from the peninsula.
