The range of Russian military equipment on the international market will be expanded due to heavy attack and suicide drones, serial production of which will begin in 2022.
As reported, Russian experts recorded a serious increase in the interest of foreign partners in Russian-made unmanned aircraft. In 2021, the Orion-E reconnaissance and strike aircraft was launched on the foreign market, and more than a dozen contract negotiations are currently underway on it.
More than 50 Orlan-20E UAVs have been already delivered to customers. In the near future, the export line will expand due to new models, among which are heavy attack drones and kamikaze drones, as stated by the Head of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev.
It is reminded that the Orion drone is the first Russian UAV with a long flight duration, capable of being in the air for up to 24 hours and travelling at a cruising speed of 200 km/h. During the modernization, the drone was able not only to conduct reconnaissance but also to strike at ground targets with adjustable bombs and guided missiles with a calibre of up to 50 kilogrammes.
