In November 2021, Russia will launch special flights to deliver a large batch of humanitarian cargo to Afghanistan and will take out Russian citizens on return flights, as stated by the Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov.

“Now we are preparing to organize special flights here [to Afghanistan], on which a large batch of humanitarian aid and food will be delivered. And by the same special flights in November we will take out Afghan citizens who have Russian citizenship,” the Ambassador promised.
He also said that the next flights will bring to Russia Afghan students who are enrolled in Russian universities on special quotas but simply don’t have money for tickets. He specified that the Taliban which is currently ruling the country support this initiative.
As reminded, the participants of the meeting in the Moscow format on Afghanistan on October 20 called for urgent humanitarian and economic assistance to be provided to the republic for the reconstruction of the country.
