The opening of the bridge to Russky Island in Vladivostok, which was closed due to the icing of the cables, was postponed to November 25, 2020, according to the official portal of the Primoryes government.
It is specified that several thousand people live on Russky Island, which is connected to the mainland by only one bridge. On the morning of November 21, traffic on the bridge to the island was closed due to the fall of ice from the cables. At the moment, specialists have restored the power supply in several areas.
Also, the regional government organized the transportation of people to the mainland using a ferry that has a capacity of 20 cars and runs every two hours. It is stated that the ferry has already carried 3,517 passengers and 501 vehicles to the mainland and back in a few days.
