The Street Cinema Festival will take place from August 12 to August 16 in Rostov-on-Don. The audience will watch the best short films of Russia, which have passed a selection by the jury.
This year the festival will cover more than 600 sites, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Vladivostok, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, and other cities. It is noted that the competition programme includes 10 films about the main phenomena of Russian reality, from office life to crimes or self-isolation. Authors have a maximum of 20 minutes to tell a story.
After watching the short films, viewers will be able to vote for the one they like more using flashlights. The organizers will measure the level of light and determine the winners of the festival. It is specified that the regional winners will compete for the main prize of 1.5 million rubles for the production of their debut feature film.
