Biathletes of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) team became bronze medalists of the men’s 4×7.5 km relay at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. The Russian team consisted of Karim Khalili, Alexander Loginov, Maxim Tsvetkov, and Eduard Latypov.

The Russians missed six times and earned two penalty laps. At the same time, before the final shooting, the team was in the lead, and the advantage over the nearest pursuers was almost a minute.
The Norwegian team won gold in the relay, with seven misses and one penalty lap. The Norwegians covered the distance in 1 hour, 19 minutes, 50.2 seconds. The second was France, which was 27.4 seconds behind and missed nine shots. The Russians were 45.3 seconds behind the Norwegians.
At the moment, the Russian national team ranks ninth (4-7-9), as well as second in the total number of awards (20). The first three places are occupied by Norway (12-7-7), Germany (8-5-2), and the USA (7-6-4).
