Russian Car Holding Increased Revenue by 58% in 2020

The “AUTODOM” Russian car holding in 2020 increased its total revenue for all types of activities by 58 per cent to 56.01 billion rubles excluding VAT, the Autostat analytical agency reports. New car sales in 2020 increased by 42 per cent to 8,086 units, accounting for 58.9 per cent of the company’s revenue structure.

The average cost of a new car in AUTODOM in 2020 increased by 13 per cent and amounted to 4.9 million rubles, and the share of sales excluding the previous car (trade-in) increased by 5 per cent and amounted to 54 per cent against 49 per cent in 2019. It is also noted that car service and spare parts sales account for 11.8 per cent of the company’s revenue.

The second place in the structure of the company’s revenue takes the sale of used cars (20.9 per cent of the total turnover). Last year AUTODOM increased sales of used cars by 50 per cent, to 6,241 units. The average cost of a used car in the company increased by 13 per cent to 1.98 million rubles. The volume of new car sales to corporate customers also increased, by 47 per cent, so it amounted to 2,186 units.

It is specified that the portfolio of AUTODOM includes not only cars but also motorcycle dealerships of the BMW Motorrad, Ducati, and KTM brands located in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The sales of new motorcycles in 2020 increased by 37 per cent to 880 units. Used moto sales showed an increase of 8 per cent. The average price of a new motorcycle increased by 12 per cent to 1.29 million rubles and the average price of a used motorcycle grew by 7 per cent to 0.81 million rubles.
