Russian Car Market Took 3rd Place in Europe in Car Sales

Germany remains the leader in car sales in Europe by the end of February 2022, where 200,512 cars were sold, which is 3.2 per cent more than a year earlier, according to the Autostat analytical agency. France took the second place and Russia closed the top three.

France is in second place among the largest European car markets with an indicator of 115,386 cars (-13 per cent). Russia takes the third place with the result of 114,349 cars (-4.8 per cent). Italy is in fourth place with 110,869 cars sold (-22.6 per cent). And the top five is closed by Spain, where residents of the country bought 62,103 cars (+6.6 per cent).

On March 4, it was reported that 114,349 cars were sold in Russia by the end of February 2022, which is 4.8 per cent less than a year ago. It is specified that the leadership in the Russian car market is held by the Lada brand, the sales of which in February amounted to 22,378 cars. In second place is Kia, which sold 15,001 cars and Hyundai occupies the third place with an indicator of 13,761 cars sold.
