“The Russian team of confectioners will perform on September 24, and the chefs, on September 26,” Bagmanyan specified.

She asked all Russians who are in France to support the teams and attend the competitions. Moreover, she promised to issue passes to those Russians who will attend the events, explaining that the “support team” from Russia will not be able to go there.

“Today there are more than 15 thousand enterprises of the food industry in Moscow. More than 150 thousand people work in the industry, these are only in the main specialities. There are enterprises of the food industry that are included in the tops of world ratings,” the Deputy Head of the Department of Trade and Services of Moscow, Alexander Ivanov, said.

It is reminded that the “Bocuse d’Or” competition traces its history back to 1987, every two years holding the grand final of the competition in the gastronomic capital of the world, Lyon. Russia has not been in the final of this competition since 2008, unlike “Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie”, which has been held every two years since 1989. In 2020, for the first time in 10 years, Russia managed to enter the top three teams in the semifinals.

It is also mentioned by WineIt that in the final of the “Bocuse d’Or” competition, a Russian team will perform under the leadership of the brand chef of the Moscow restaurant Uhvat, Viktor Beley, who won the “Bocuse d’Or Russia 2019”.
