The ‘Detsky Mir’ (“Children’s World”) group of companies which is the largest Russian retailer of children’s goods, is launching its own marketplace for all categories of goods, PRIME reports.

It is noted that the ‘Detsky Mir’ retailer operated 810 stores at the end of September 2020. Free float is 100 per cent of the company’s shares (excluding quasi-treasury securities and shares owned by management and directors).
The test version of the marketplace for the “Clothes and Shoes” category was launched back in November 2019. Almost a year later, the company has expanded its marketplace to all categories, including clothing and footwear, toys and games, baby products, and pet supplies. In the medium term, it is planned to increase the range to 2.4 million items.
It is specified that in the first stage of the opening of its marketplace the retailer will focus on all children’s categories and pet goods. In the future, they are going to test related categories, going beyond the children’s range, but taking into account the direction of the brand.
