Russian-Chinese Military Exercises Started in Sea of Japan

The Russian-Chinese military exercises “The Joint Sea 2021” have started in the Sea of Japan and will be held till October 17.

As specified, the Russian Navy is represented by warships and vessels, including the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleyev, the corvettes of Project 20380 Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and Gromky, two base minesweepers, the submarine of Project 877 Ust-Bolsheretsk, as well as a missile boat and a rescue tug.

The Chinese Navy combat exercises with their destroyers “Kunming” and “Nanchang”, corvettes “Qinzhou ” and “Luzhou”, as well as a diesel submarine, an integrated supply ship and a rescue vessel.

It is planned that as part of the training, the crews of the two countries will work out joint tactical manoeuvring, mine protection of detachments, conduct artillery firing at sea targets and search for the submarine of a conditional enemy in the designated area with the further blocking it.
