The Russian delegation will arrive at the site of a new round of negotiations later on Wednesday and will be ready to meet with representatives of Ukraine, as the Russian Presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said.
“This afternoon, in the late afternoon, our delegation will be in place. [Will] wait for the Ukrainian negotiators. Our delegation will be ready to continue the conversation this evening,” Peskov said.
To a clarifying question about the place of the new meeting, the Kremlin representative replied that he would not name it in advance. According to TASS, a new round of negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine will be held on the territory of Belarus, in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
The Kremlin hopes that the Ukrainian side will come to the talks with the Russian delegation, and for their success, but he will not make predictions about the prospects of this process.
“At first, you can probably try to predict whether the Ukrainian negotiators will come or not. Let’s hope that it happens. Ours will be in place and will be ready to sit down at the negotiating table in the evening,” Peskov said.
He also noted that Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky will continue to lead the Russian delegation in negotiations with Ukraine.
