As reminded, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an address to the population, in which he announced the beginning of a special military operation to protect Donbass. The Head of State stressed that its goal is to protect people from bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime, as well as demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

This provoked aggressive statements in the West, which caused Putin to order the Defence Ministry to switch the Russian deterrent forces to a special duty mode. According to him, Western countries are taking not only unfriendly actions in the economic sphere against Moscow but also allow aggressive statements.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said that the order of the head of state concerning the switch of the Russian deterrent forces to a special duty regime does not have a double bottom. He noted that in this case, we are talking about an “absolutely clear” command of the Supreme Commander.
