Russian Employees Don’t Want to Return to Office Work

Specialists of the SuperJob job search service conducted a survey among 1,000 economically active citizens from all districts of Russia working remotely due to coronavirus to find out their opinion about a remote format of work.

According to the study results, 3 in 10 respondents think they work better at home than in the office, while 35 per cent are sure that the quality of their work at a remote location has not changed. In turn, one in three notes that with the switch to distance employment, his workload has even increased.

Interestingly, 54 per cent of remote employees in Russia would prefer to keep working from home even after the normalization of the epidemiological situation. Moreover, among those who left their home office for work in an office, 34 per cent dream of returning to remote work.

Compared to similar surveys last year, Russians are more likely to notice an increase in workload at a remote location. Compared to the autumn and winter of 2020, there are more of those who note that they have begun to work worse (16% in October, 17% in December, and 23% today).
