The best film in 2020 according to the Golden Eagle national cinematic award was the film “The Siege Diary” directed by Andrey Zaitsev, TASS reports. The award ceremony was held on January 22, 2021, at the Mosfilm studio.

It is specified that the film received a statuette for the best script, which was written based on the works of Daniil Granin, Ales Adamovich, and Olga Berggolts, as well as on the memoirs of the blockade and their diaries. It is also noted that the actress Olga Ozollapina received the Best Actress award in this film.
In addition, Yuri Borisov, who played in the film “Kalashnikov”, received the Best Actor award. The author of the film “Dear Comrades!” Andrey Konchalovsky received the award for the best direction. Also, Ilya Uchitel‘s film “Streltsov” was awarded for the best editing.
