The jury of the all-Russian competition “Best Municipal Practice” defined the winners in the “Smart City” nomination. The first place was taken by Zheleznovodsk, Stavropol Territory, the second by Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region, and the third by Gusev, Kaliningrad Region, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Construction reports.
It is noted that in the resort town of Zheleznovodsk, all segments of the “smart city” have been fully implemented, and these are 39 digital modules responsible for the synchronization of city and tourist services. In particular, interactive smart panels and an intelligent metering system for utility resources have been installed, as well as “smart garbage cans” with sensors load level control, automated housing, and communal services systems.
The grant in the amount of 75 million rubles that the winner received in this competition will be directed to the digitalization of the village Inozemtsevo. It is also promised that additional smart stops, smart trash cans, smart CCTV cameras, and smart pedestrian crossings will also be installed there.
