Western sanctions against Russia demonstrate the decline of the American-centric era. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Andrei Klimov, Russia’s special operation in Ukraine revealed many things on the issue.
According to Klimov, Russia’s special operation, for example, showed that every day the pro-American world is getting weaker, but more aggressive. Currently, its decline is being observed, and this process is causing serious damage to the whole world, Klimov said.
“How much has been done over the past half century to protect the environment by switching to more gentle energy production technologies? Today, because they [the countries of the West] organized chaos in the energy markets, there is a return to technologies that were abandoned several decades ago,” the politician stressed.
He added that sanctions against Russia entail an impending global famine and the decline of Europe’s industrial and production base.
“All this demonstrates the end of an era — it was relatively short by historical standards, it began with the Second World War; it believed that it had won the Cold War, and by inertia acted within the framework of the old paradigm for the last 20 years, but now it’s all coming to an end,” Klimov concluded.
