Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva won the Finlandia Trophy international tournament held in Espoo from October 7 to 10. Kamila has broken Alena Kostornaya’s world record for the sum of the short and free programmes.
Kamila Valieva is 15 and the girl is already a world champion among juniors (the current season is her first at the adult level). The figure skater trains in the group of Eteri Tutberidze.
As specified, Valieva scored 249.24 points, while the previous record set by Alena Kostornaya in the final of the 2019 Grand Prix series was 247.59 points. Valieva also broke the world record in the free programme scoring 174.31 points. Previously, the achievement belonged to Alexandra Trusova (166.62).
It is reported that this time, the second place at the tournament in Finland was taken by Russian Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (233.30) and Alena Kostornaya occupied the third place with a score of 218.83.
