On March 1, 2022, Russian and Belarusian athletes were banned from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the FIS (International Ski Federation). The ISU (International Skating Union) Congress has approved this decision, so it will be valid until further notice.
At the same time, FIS announced the postponement of all competitions from the territory of Russia. Such sanctions were a response to Russia’s special operation to protect Donbass.
