The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reproached the US that they ignored Ukrainian hackers and, at the same time, declared a cyber threat only from Russian citizens.

"Over the past month, Europol and Eurojust conducted a series of operations to capture and arrest hacker groups. Russian hackers? Well, finally. But no, surprise: they all turned out to be Ukrainians. At least two thousand people in 71 countries of the world, including the United States, have become victims of at least one group of cyber extortionists, companies in the United States, Great Britain, France and other Western countries have suffered. The total damage from the actions of the attackers amounted to $120 million. The groups have been conducting criminal activity since at least 2019. By the way, the Norwegians are sure that the caught attackers are responsible for the attack on the institutions of the industrial giant Norsk Hydro in the USA and Europe. But where are the statements of Western partners about 'Ukrainian hackers' and the attacks they carry out? Where are the threats of sanctions for the fact that Kiev 'has not been fighting IT crimes for many years, allegedly carried out from the national territory with the connivance of national special services?' Maybe the American specialists did not know about the existence of non-Russian hackers? Not at all. Washington is very well aware of all this, given that the FBI took part in the Europol operation. So where are the statements of the White House and the State Department, where are the editorials of American newspapers with the question: maybe hackers can be not only Russian?" Zakharova writes in her Telegram channel.
