The leaders of the regions of the Russian Federation will prepare plans for the opening of the tourist season by June 15. These plans are being developed jointly with Rostourism, Rospotrebnadzor (Consumer Rights Protection Service), and the Ministry of Health, TASS reports.
It is expected that in the coming weeks, hotels will open their doors for visitors in half of the Russian regions. It is noted that today, over 40 regions meet the criteria for opening. According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Chernyshenko, the tourism industry, and primarily the domestic tourism, has enormous potential.
He also proposed the development of additional preferential rates for families with children in support of domestic tourism. Chernyshenko expressed readiness to diversify the possibilities of children’s tourism so that every child can have guaranteed summer holidays.
