Russian Gymnast Averina Became World Champion in Exercises With Clubs [Video]

The Russian gymnast, Dina Averina, occupied the first place at the  Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in exercises with clubs. The competition was held in Kitakyushu, Japan. Russian athlete scored there 27,100 points. 

It is noted that the second place was taken by the gymnast’s sister Arina Averina (26,750), and the third by Anastasia Salos from Belarus (26,400). Earlier at the World Championship in Japan, Dina won gold medals in hoop and ball exercises, Arina won silver following the results of performances with the ball.

As reminded, the sisters perform at the World Championships under the guidance of a new personal trainer, Olympic champion in 2000 Yulia Barsukova. Both girls are now 23 years old. Arina has won the World Championships four times already and Dina is a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and a 16-time world champion.
