Russian Ice Hockey Team Defeated Belarus in Junior World Cup Quarter-Finals

The Russian junior ice hockey team beat the team from Belarus in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in the USA. Goals were scored by Matvey Michkov, Danila Yurov, Artem Duda, Ivan Miroshnichenko, and Vsevolod Gaydamak. Thus, the Russian national team became the first semi-finalist, championat reports.  

It is mentioned that the 2021 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships began on April 27 and will end on May 7. All matches are hosted by the USA. The Russian national team plays in Group B together with the teams from the USA, Czech Republic, Finland, and Germany. 

It is noted that in the first match of the group stage, Russians were inferior to the United States with a score of 1:5 but won in overtime (7:6). Then the Russian national team was defeated in the second meeting with Finland (3:4), but in the third meeting, they defeated Germany (6:1), and in the fourth, the Czech Republic (11:1).
