The Romir research holding, in partnership with the “The Commonwealth of Journalists” Mediacongress, conducted a study to identify those media, programmes, and personalities of Russia which over the past year have made the greatest contribution to the development of the dialogue of cultures.

It is specified that the results of a global survey of journalists from Russia and the CIS countries were presented on April 15, 2021, at the award ceremony at the Hermitage Theatre in St. Petersburg, on the 15th International Media Forum “Dialogue of Cultures”. According to the survey results, in the opinion of the majority of respondents (30 per cent), the “Kultura” channel made the greatest contribution to the development of the dialogue of cultures among all Russian TV channels.
The three leaders also included “Rossiya” (23 per cent) and “MIR” (10 per cent) TV channels. Among radio stations, the best sources of dialogue were VestiFM (28 per cent), Echo Moskvy, and Mayak (20 per cent each). As for the press and portals, journalists named Meduza (18 per cent), Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Komsomolskaya Pravda, and Russia Today (10 per cent each) as the best ones.
A separate nomination was dedicated to journalists and public figures who contribute the most to the development of a dialogue of cultures. The winner became Zhanna Badoeva, a TV presenter and director (20 per cent of respondents). The top three also included a journalist, traveller, photographer, author and host of the TV programme “The World Inside Out” Dmitry Komarov and a journalist, host of the “Pozner” TV programme on Channel One Vladimir Pozner.
