Russian Leading Bank Allowed All Self-Employed Take Out Mortgage

The largest universal bank of Russia, Sber, allowed all self-employed to apply for mortgage loans on the “Domclick” website. To do this, you need to confirm your earnings with a certificate on the status of professional income tax calculations in the form of the Federal Tax Service.

It is reminded that previously, the bank’s housing lending program was extended only to those self-employed who are registered in the Svoe Delo (“Own Business”) service and receive professional income on the Sber card. Now, any self-employed person can take a mortgage, regardless of how he is registered and on which bank’s card he receives income.

“In December 2019, we launched a mortgage for the self-employed who have connected Sberbank’s Svoe Delo service. Over the past two years, the program has proved its relevance and helped thousands of our clients solve the housing issue. In addition, we have made sure that the self-employed, as well as self-employed clients, faithfully fulfill their loan obligations,” the Vice President of Sberbank, Nikolay Vasev, said.

The mortgage program for the self-employed provides for the possibility of buying a home both on the secondary market and in a new building. You can also buy a country house, a cottage, a parking space and a garage.

At the same time, the conditions are the same as those contained in a similar program for citizens working for hire. The only limitation is that the program does not apply to individual housing construction.
