The main Christmas tree in Russia will be delivered to the Kremlin from the Naro-Fominsk forestry, according to the press service of the governor and the government of the Moscow region.
The tree is said to be 96 years old, about 25 metres high and its trunk diameter is 60 centimetres. The swing of the lower branches is about 10 metres. It is noted that the selection of a tree by the foresters began in the summer of 2020. According to the terms of the competition, the tree should not have cracks, rotten parts of the trunk, partial absence of crown, as well as diseases of needles. In the near future, a road train with the main Christmas tree of the country will go to Moscow to be installed on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin.
