Almost 25 thousand people visited Russian Father Frost in Veliky Ustyug (Vologda region) on New Year’s holidays, as reported by the governor of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov in his Telegram channel.

“We have summed up the first results of the winter tourist season. One of the most popular destinations for family holidays is the patrimony of Father Frost. 24,415 people visited the winter wizard, as of January 8,” he wrote.
The governor recalled that since January 3, an express passenger train “Moroz Express” (“Frost Express”) has been launched in the region, which allows people to get from Moscow to the Patrimony of Father Frost in 18 hours.
“The results are excellent – in just a week more than 800 people have chosen this way of travelling. About 1 thousand tourists arrived in Veliky Ustyug on weekend trains,” Kuvshinnikov added.
The final results of the New Year’s season are expected to be summed up on January 15 in Veliky Ustyug, when “the fabulous journey of Father Frost” will be over. As for the moment, the top three most visited places in the Patrimony were:
- the Father Frost’s Manor,
