Specialists of the SuperJob job search service conducted a survey of economically active married citizens of Russia over 18 years old. It turned out that in the majority of Russian families women are the ones who cook. However, if men should make food, they usually cope better.
According to the results of the study, in 28 per cent of Russian families, the responsibilities for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner are divided approximately equally, in 7 per cent of families men cook more often than women, but in most cases, cooking is still a women’s responsibility (61 per cent). Interestingly, among men, 9 per cent say that cooking lies on their shoulders, while among women only 5 per cent give this answer.
In addition, according to 47 per cent of Russians, women cook tastier, while 16 per cent of those surveyed are convinced that men do better at cooking. At the same time, the superiority of men is recognized much more often in those couples where it is mainly a man who cooks (58 per cent). Also, 30 per cent of respondents said that both men and women cook equally tasty in their family. More often, such an answer was given in pairs, where both partners cook (48 per cent).
