A high and extreme fire hazard is expected in the east of the Voronezh region, while in the west, residents are expected to freeze up to -4 degrees, according to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Centre Roman Vilfand, RIA News reports.
It is noted that cold and uncomfortable weather is expected in a number of regions of the country. In Komi, and the Krasnoyarsk Territory heavy snow and winds of 15–20 metres per second are expected (especially heavy snow will fall in the Evenkiysky and Turukhansky districts). In the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, snow, rain, ice, and very uncomfortable weather will also appear soon. According to Vilfand, the same weather is expected in the Altai Territory and the Kemerovo Region. The expert warned the residents of the country about ice and heavy snow in the Chelyabinsk region too, with the wind which will reach 25-27 metres per second.
