Russian Military Showed Firing From ‘Tornado-G’ Without Manual Aiming [Video]

Employees of the Saratov Artillery Training Centre demonstrated firing from the Tornado-G Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) without manual aiming, the Zvezda TV channel reports. 

 

The military said that a driver is firing at the push of a button, having previously sent the coordinates of the target to the control car. It is also he who determines the number of missiles used in each case. It is specified that a complete set of MLRS consists of 40 launcher tubes that can carry 122 mm-calibre rockets. One launch covers an area of ​​400 square metres. The flight time of the rockets is 15 seconds.
